Gnome users who have tried KDE: convince me!

What keeps me on Gnome is that it isn't KDE.  IOW, it isn't a Winduhs
look-alike.  I do wish that Gnome had more of the configurability of
KDE sometimes but then I feel that it only gets in the way of
productivity, too.
That said, I am more and more using LXDE (or Lubuntu, if you
prefer) /because/ of its lack of configurability.

Go figure.

One feature I despise about Gnome is that, when I open nautilus, it
replaces my carefully-picked wallpaper with the ugly brown background
of Ubuntu and I then have to kill the X windowing system to get it
back.  I typically use PCmanFM because of that.
