DVD Media Collection Software Recommendation

I'm looking for a recommendation for FOSS software compatible with Ubuntu 
9.10 to manage my video collection.  I found an excellent product in 
"Griffith" but it's not 9.10 compatible -- none of the export functions 
work -- something about a PhP problem that is beyond my ability to 
comprehend. I had entered only about 100 films when I found out I coudn't 
It automatically queries the IMDB database and retrieves information on 
the movie.  That's the kind of capability I'm looking forward to.  
Google, as least the way I entered the search terms, came up with very 
little.

Do you have any suggestions?
