I have a 21 " monitor. It was at 2048x1536 60 hertz resolution using Ubuntu
9.04. Now I am using 9.10, and I can't get it any higher than 1024x768. My
metamode in xorg.conf isn't working. I've tried using nvidia-xconfig and
nvidia-settings as root. 1024x768 is my highest choice, so I clicked
advanced and put in the resolution 1600x1200 and hit apply. Then only a
portion of my screen was showing. The model of the monitor is not recognised
by nvidia-settings, so it got named CRT-1.
