Don't forget to check "discharge time accuracy profile" as mentioned in 
my other post. Maybe you won't  need to wait for 3 times, as it depends 
from hw/bios you have.

I realy don't know, as I don't have a laptop here, I cannot try it.
Basicaly "acpi -b" gives you the status of the battery in %, if I 
remember correctly.
