all photo programs crash when clicking on import

With my one digital camera (I prefer 35mm SLR) which is a Canon EOS
300D, I find investigating in a card reader and placing the memory card
in that gives me the best results.

For looking through my snaps, I use fotoxx.  This can edit photos, but
I prefer to use The GIMP.  For printing out pics, I get the besr
results using printoxx.
