I fail to see why you'd send this message in reply to mine - which didn't 
suggest ANY tools that aren't installed by default.  The suggestion was to 
use "apropos" which would have told him right away that "rename" was a 
program intended to do what he wanted (and yes, apropos would have returned 
a much smaller and more useful list for someone with only default apps 
installed).

Before complaining about other people's posts, you should understand them.

And you don't need a "for" statement, either.
