UNR and 3G

It probably depends on the actual hardware.
Many 3G USB dongles work: plug them in, wait several seconds, select the
connection in Network Manager. Some need extra software to tell the
dongle to act like a dongle and not a fake CD-ROM full of Windows
drivers. Sometimes it takes a while for that extra software to add
support for a particuler dongle.
I'm guessing netbooks with builtin 3G actually expose it as a USB
device. Bluetooth is usually implemented like that.
