Can you mount manually from the command line?

$ sudo mount -t iso9660 /dev/scd0 /media/cdrom0

If so try adding the following line to /etc/fstab:

/dev/scd0 /media/cdrom0 udf,iso9660 user,noauto,exec,utf8 0 0

works, as I can put in a live DVD and boot to it. My cd drive won't
mount in Ubuntu but I can boot from it??
