Yep, that's it. Can't remember when or how as this machine has gone from
Edgy thru Jaunty. I suspect I've added myself to just about everything
on this system... so it's not a good test:

$ groups <user>
<user> adm disk lp dialout fax cdrom floppy tape audio dip video plugdev
scanner netdev lpadmin powerdev admin fuse vboxusers smb sambashare
pulse pulse-access pulse-rt

'fdisk -l' _does_ require sudo on my vanilla 8.04 test machine and on my
9.04 laptop.
