boot takes very long - about 25 secs

One of my computers has in the bios the option to fast boot or quiet 
boot. I have it set on quiet boot and it takes every bit a half minute 
or more.  I am satisfied with it as is.  I guess a lot depends on how 
complex and how much hardware and how fast the computer is??
