Frankly spoken my first thought was: that article must have been
published on April 1 and Ray didn't realize.

You may want to look at:

  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flash_file_system

to learn that Flash memory isn't well suited as a swap device.

btw: real memory outperforms any other means to speed up a system,
     except possibly handcoding crucial loops in assembly language.
