Daytime running light module?

Dad's boat would run fine for weeks unless he had a certain couple out
for a cruise with them, then it would die a half mile from the dock
every time.

The fuel line had dropped under the corner of the rear bench seat - it
took a fairly large couple to pinch the line enough to make it quit...
