Evolution - no alarms?

Hi.

Evolution, for no reason that I can see, has stopped notifying alarms.

It used to pop up a reminder window, but doesn't any more.

I'd provide more information, but I've no idea what info would be
relevant! This is on Hardy (8.04). I've looked at every conceivable
setting inside Evolution... is there some setting or other *outside*
evolution, that might suppress alarms?
