correction on pppconfig

Hi John,
try  System menu, > Administration  > System log, scroll to bottom, With 
this open type  pon
in a terminal and watch the log, will give you lots of details.



First you should set up your repository list, 
In Terminal
sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list    edit this and save,  then sudo 
apt-get update  and enter .
If your connected it should then populate the repository list.
When finished  try  sudo apt-get install gkrellm a very handy utility
