Logitech Quickcam Communicate STX

Hey-

Does anyone know if a Logitech Quickcam Communicate STX will work out of the
box with Jaunty Jackalope?  Or with a minimum of fiddling around?  EasyCam
seems to be rather straightforward but I am certainly not at the stage to
compile something.

The best information I can come up with so far just makes me hesitate before
hitting the buy button.
