Okay.

This was the only reason for my queries. I have read on various places
on line that Nvidia drivers prior to 180 could have a problem with KDE
4.2. Even though KDE appears to be working when I checked last night on
Jaunty, I just wanted to be ready for the problems. In any case, that
KDE 4.2 is working with 173 on Jaunty is a pleasant surprise. On another
computer (Debian), had to upgrade to Nvidia to 180 to get KDE 4.2
working properly.

I would always revert back to nv drivers. I do not user 3d effects at
all. But I am afraid this open driver may give some problems with video
playbacks though. I hope I do not have to go down this road.

Regards.
