problem installing server raid

Even using a live cd and filling with zeroes the disks (dd if = /dev/zero ...) 
did not solve the problem. I'm able to rebuild all the raid partitions, but 
then the installer says me that the kernel is unable to re-read the partition 
table and therefore is not aware of the parition table. As a result the 
installation proceeds but the machine does not boot.

Any idea?
