Where's /etc/modprobe.d/options gone?

I need to add an options line to modprobe, but /etc/modprobe.d/options no 
longer exists!

This seems to be confirmed here:

It seems that options should now be added to /boot/grub/menu.lst

But there's no man menu.lst.

That being the case, what is the format for adding an option that should 
be used? And where in menu.lst should these options be placed?

Anyone know?
