I think you greatly overestimate how easy it is to just figure out stuff
like this from man pages and google...

OTOH, I also think this is a problem I would never be willing to tackle
unless it was hands on.

I wonder if MG might be within a stone's throw of a LUG or some such
where he can bring his PC and his gaggle of HD's for some help.
