In hindsight I think the best advice might have been that he throws away
all of his disks and buys one internal disk of 1 TiB, and perhaps only one
external disk, also 1 TiB. Less headache, less disks to worry about.
For people that like to play with disks of different sizes in an external
enclosure, they should look at drobo. Unfortunately it's proprietary
technology. :-(

On the one hand, I am seriously considering the getting paid thing. On the
other hand, I often think that I don't know that much about Linux. Or any
other OS. (I'm currently getting paid to know Windows - only to know it,
not to use it or to like it.)
