What do you mean?
What do you want to write?
Are you still talking about editing configuration files?
Then you should use

gksudo gedit <filename>

I know that it is easier to "see" the files with a GUI file manager and
then just doubleclick. The problem is, that is *too* easy. It's an
accident waiting to happen. It's like driving a car without your safety
belt on.
