Can"t get bitdefender to install on unbuntu 8.10

How did you try, cli? Sudo? Error messages? Is the version you tried to 
install meant for 8.10? Try putting
"deb http://download.bitdefender.com/repos/deb/ bitdefender non-free"
in your /etc/apt/sources.list file, run apt-get update and see what 
shows up in the synaptic manager.
