if your Printer is connected to windows PC ( Shared Network) then,
Before doing that you should check for samba and smbfs packages.
if you don't have Then you can install it from Synaptic Package Manager
(System > Administration > Synaptic Package Manager)
from command line using :
sudo apt-get install samba smbfs
Now, Just try to follow this process :
System >> Administration >> Printing
Click on the New Printer Tab. and follow the instructions,
Select Device - Windows Printer Via Samba
and then Click over Browse Button and try to browse your Shared Printer .
