Configuring printer in Ubuntu

Dheeraj,

if your Printer is connected to windows PC ( Shared Network) then,
Before doing that you should check for samba and smbfs packages.
if you don't have Then you can   install it from Synaptic Package Manager
(System > Administration > Synaptic Package Manager)

or
from command line using :

sudo apt-get install samba smbfs

Now, Just try to follow this process :

System >> Administration >> Printing

Click on the  New Printer Tab.  and follow the instructions,

Select Device -  Windows Printer Via Samba
and then Click over  Browse Button and try to browse your Shared Printer .
Otherwise write the location by yourself in this format :
smb://IpAddress/printer
