The 240 updates do NOT ruin Jaunty.  Some _specific_ one of those 240
updates has quite possibly broken your wifi, which is not the same thing at
all (I'm not sure _which 240 you even mean - there's been far more than
that released over the course of Jaunty's development). 

You are the last person who should ever be telling anybody here that they
don't know what they're talking about.
