GNOME Parttion Editor

Is the GNOME Partition Editor capable of resizing and editing
partitions?

Or, is it just disabled from doing anything with that partition, due to
the partition being a "/" partition?


Hi there,

As far as i remember it is possible to resize a partition using Gparted,
perhaps Gparter is not letting you to resize a mounted partition. I suggest
you to boot from the Ubuntu Live CD and resize the partition from there
where you can unmount the / partition without problems.
