I agree, Raquel's advice sounds like it would be worth a try.

Sometimes people become frustrated when things don't work and, in that
frustration, stop thinking logically and attribute their problem to things
not really relevant to it and also don't try advice that has the potential
to be helpful. In this community we often get sidetracked, not a bad thing
for a sense of community among ourselves but sometimes the noise obscures
possible solutions.
