Samba and XP machines

I am not sure about kubuntu, but in gnome when you first click on
sharing and if samba is not installed, it will ask if you want to
install it. You then need to log back out and then back in for it to set.

The files that are installed as a result are:

libpam-smbpass
libsmbclient
nautilus-share
samba
samba-common
smbclient

Obviously you won't have 'nautilus-share' in kde unless you have
nautilus installed.
