How long before you give up.

I burned the disk from an ISO image. I've burned and installed both Ubuntu and xubuntu on other machines. So I feel pretty certain that the install  disk is fine. I think it's hung, I'm just trying to work up the nerve to turn it off and on to see where I stand.
