Not so - Altos Xenix 1982 - Though I think that pre-dated the 386 and
ran on a 286. SCO Unix was not so far behind in 1983. The 386 chip came
out in 1985 and appeared first in Compaq PCs in 1986 (source Wikipedia -
but is consistent with my own memory)
