I'm not making any effort.  It's not like I have time to correct you, 
but someone needs to.  If you don't know anything about what you're 
talking about, then DON'T.  AFAIK, MINIX wasn't particularly expensive, 
but it was also a /research/ OS and not for general use.  It's 
functionality was virtually nil.

And yes it DID use the 8086 instruction set.  I used it way back in the 
day at Va Tech to test a compiler I wrote as a research project.

Look, I'm not deliberately flaming you every time you post, but you 
really should take 10 seconds to review things before you post it.  As 
my Dad always said:

'Better to be quiet and look like a fool than open your mouth and prove it.'

All, I'm asking is that you make sure of your facts.  Is that so hard?
