PC doesn't shut down when UPS power low?

I've got two APC UPSes, a Back-UPS 650 ES and a 725, both attach with
USB.  I had the same problem and eventually looked up "apcupsd",
installed and configured it and now everything works fine.

"nut" is another alternative, I've used that to talk to another
serial-attached Belkin UPS.
