PC doesn't shut down when UPS power low?

Hi!

OK... yesterday there was a power failure due to a storm... so I decided
to sit in front of the ubuntu server and watch if everything was OK. I
noticed that by default, the power management recognizes the
USB-attached UPS... and gives me indications as to what the UPS power
level is... And in the settings, I can configure it so that it shuts
down when UPS power level is beyond a certain point (LOW or CRITICAL).

Well... this doesn't happen. It doesn't trigger its own shutdown. But
the power status applet dies...

Bug? Did I miss something?

Thanks in advance,
Gilles.
