Just to say again the software you found is for another product, not 
mine. I just for my own use d/l the software and it loaded fine in 
Hardy. It is very kernel sensitive it appears. I just got this from the

Can you help us explain in greater detail how the TV doesn't start in XP? 
Which application are you using and what is the driver version you have?

At this point we don’t have any drivers or support for AVerTV Hybrid Ultra USB
using Linux.

So lets just drop this. I think in a while they may have some Beta software available for Linux.
