Sorry, I'm on both the Kubuntu, and Ubuntu lists, and I'm using Kubuntu, and 
Pulseaudio wasn't on Kubuntu HH 8.04. I'd forgotten that Pulseaudio was 
default on Ubuntu HH 8.04.
