what's the mobile-386 image of ubuntu 8.10

Hello Everybody,

I was wondering what is the difference between the following two
images, and also, why is there no 'release' version of the second
image?

1. http://releases.ubuntu.com/releases/8.10/ubuntu-8.10-mid-lpia.img
2. http://releases.ubuntu.com/releases/8.10/ubuntu-8.10-rc-mobile-i386.img

I am asking since I want to know which is one I want to install on my
Acer Aspire One.
