Newby help: Changing to Thunderbird instead of Eveloution

Some, but not all. The next version, SeaMonkey 2.0 (still in alpha now)
uses code from the new Thunderbird and Firefox's, so the three will
become similar. That may be a good thing, maybe not, there are quite a
few threads going on right now regarding using the new FireFox 3 Awesome
Bar (called 'Awful Bar' by some/many) in SeaMonkey 2.0.

However, you can install Thunderbird and SeaMonkey & neither will
interfere with the other. SM settings are kept in ~/.mozilla and TB
settings are kept in ~/.thunderbird.
