Of course most likely it's nor more stable on all hardware and may be
even less stable on some. I just wanted to point out that "LTS is more
stable than non-LTS" doesn't hold in all cases.

That's true. And upgrading from 8.04 to 8.10 is easier than
downgrading from 8.10 to 8.04 so if in doubt starting with 8.04 is a
good idea.
