SOLVED Re: Upgrade to 810 breaks xorg again

  Makes two of us who don't know. I had exactly the same problem after
an upgrade to 8.04 a week ago. I had to go to the repository..dl it and
install it. Aptitude and Synaptic told me it was in the database but had
no "candidate" for it. Is it possible the database on my machine is
messed up in some subtle way?
