I climbed on board with Intrepid with the Alpha 6, about a month ago,
and it was still far too soon for anything important that required
stability (like music recording and mixing). But it's now to the point
as a Beta where just about everything seems to be in place properly
and I don't restart and have things not work anymore/work in ways I
didn't configure them for.

I have a friend who I converted to Hardy (a few months back) after a
lifetime of using the evil empire. Because he's seen me pulling my
hair-out he's going to wait on Intrepid until its road-tested so that
his update and issues don't resemble a "Windows release fire-drill" as
he put it. Which is a reasonable and prudent course of action. For
light "office" and email/internet work, it's already there. But for
anything that's too important to have not work right...wait a bit.
