Never believe a programmer's description.  APT is not the front-end,
whatever he says, APT is the whole package.  apt-get IS the apt interface.

Of course it isn't.  If you look at the apt package, all the binaries in it
begin with 'apt' - including apt-get.

Of course it isn't, but they DONT front-end apt.  They are _implementations_
of apt, and they are _front-ends_ for dpkg.
