Alsa taking forever to close on shutdown

I have had the same thing, on and off after some upgrades, since Intrepid Alpha 
6. On my system (MSI Wind) I just press the OFF button until the whole computer 
powers down, and at the next reboot I do a "Recovery Mode" mode. Up till now it 
has always corrected itself.
