Will pidgin 2.5.0 be included in ubuntu 8.10?

If you ask for 2.5.0, you are already outdated. I'm sure you meant 2.5.1
... :)

Of course, by the time 2.5.1 gets into 8.10, Pidgin will be at 2.5.2 or
2.6 or whatever...
