Compaq Evo D500 yellow tint and headphone socket problem

I have installed Hardy on the above PC (mythubuntu distribution).  I
have a couple of problems.  Firstly when I connect to a video
projector I am getting a yellow tint.  Also if I plug into the
headphone socket the sound still comes out through the internal
speakers and not through the headphones.

Any ideas?
