@Bo: His 'c' key isn't working.

@scott: given that the 'c' character works in terminal mode, drop to a
tty terminal (Ctrl-Alt-F1), log in, and:

sudo apt-get install configure-debian

then

configure-debian

You'll find multiple menus there where you can reconfigure just about
anything (including your keyboard). Be carefull though, as you can
'configure' yourself into a fine mess if you don't watch what you do.

Also, when you return back to gdm (Ctrl-Alt-F7) you will find
configure-debian in the Applications|System Tools menu, so you can use
the mouse to get to it.
