how do I tryout OOo 3.0.0 in Hardy?

Hello,

Now that Openoffice.org 3.0 is out
(http://distribution.openoffice.org/mirrors/#extmirrors), how do I
tryout this version on a Hardy machine?

I want to keep the Hardy OOo installation as it is and want to try out
OOo 3.0 separately. If I download the 3.0 deb, will it interfere with my
2.4 OOo installation?
