Remove the kernels with your favorite package manager. That's all there is
to it - the postrm script will take care of the grub menu.
You generally don't even need two, but aptitude is intentionally set to not
remove old kernels in case something goes wrong when you install a new one,
and there's no simple way to make it remove all but "n" old kernels
(actually, it can't be all that difficult, but nobody has bothered).
