Sorry, it isn't necessary to do sudo /etc/init.d/networking restart as
NM should do everything automatically when you set to roaming mode.
However, I tend to do it anyway given issues with NM in the past... some
habits take longer than others to fade away :-) And yes, I should go
back & re-read the entire thread.
