No. That won't fix 'java -version' and /etc/alternatives. That's why I
use galternatives to modify.
Another interesting issue that I ran into; you _need_ to have the repo
version installed to get the .jinfo file in /usr/lib/jvm. If you purge
the repo Sun version, it also purges the .jinfo file.
