Working with .rar files

There's several RAR/UNRAR-ing programs available in the repositories.
Go into System and open the Synaptic Package Manager. Throw RAR into
the quick search box and find which ever one takes your fancy. Or you
could alternatively install the latest Windows version of WinRAR under
WINE.
