Ubuntu 8.04 Qemulator & Vista Networking

I've a copy of vista running under qemulator on 8.04.  I can't figure 
out the qemu options to get the hosted vista to see a valid networking 
device.  After vista gets booted up, the network icon in the system tray 
is "X"ed out.  I've read a couple references to what network device 
vista needs, but they where not exactly clear.  Has anybody gotten a 
Vista image to work with networking under qemu?
